Why Experience Counts

Experience counts in both the podiatry profession as it does in the medical billing profession.   Let's be honest, a business cannot survive without the revenue for services rendered.  It is important that revenue recovery be a TOP priority in any business.

When a claim is partially paid or rejected, it is important that the explanation of the partial payment or rejection is understood by the accounting agent. It has been our experience that too few agents actually question why the claim benefit was administrated the way it was and leave it to the patient to follow up with the insurance companies.  In far to many cases, the podiatrist goes unpaid for services rendered.  This is where expertise in claims administration and interpretation is paramount.

Podiatry Claims was officially  founded in 1997.  The owner and manager, a experienced veteran of the medical insurance industry wanted to provide a claims billing service for podiatric physicians that would relieve the physician from worrying about the billing process, the accounts receivable process, and insurance follow up.  The physician could be the physician, and the claims billing and revenue recovery could be completed without daily intervention or supervision.

Our company dedicates itself to understanding insurance payment benefits,  requests for additional information and erroneous rejections/denials.  We question everything.  And more importantly, we actually call the insurance companies to question their procedures when we find a discrepancy in the claim administration.  Experience counts.  You can bet your bottom dollar on it.
